1. Create a dedicated work area. - Setting up an area that is dedicated to business only activities will not only help you stay more organized, it will be a motivator to get your work done.

2. Eliminate distractions. - When working from home, it's easy to get distracted by things like the television and phone calls. Make sure that you're not distracted during your work time.

3. Manage your costs. - Keeping your overhead to a minimum and eliminating bad unnecessary purchases is an easy way to boost your profits. Be sure to manage your expenses.

4. Set work hours. - Setting your daily work hours will not only keep you on track, it'll also prevent you from overworking yourself.

5. Take time to exercise. - Working out is a great stress-reliever and it'll give you more energy and improve your overall productivity. Be sure to take care of your health.

6. Save your money. - As a owner, there are no guarantees when it comes to your income. Make sure that when times are good, you're saving money. When you hit a downturn in your business cycle, it's nice to know

9. Outsource. - If you're finding it difficult to complete tasks, outsource the grunt work. Outsourcing is cheap, and you can find great freelance help using sites such as Craigslist.

10. Avoid wasted hours surfing the net. - Working online can be distracting if you're not careful. It's easy to waste hours a day surfing the Internet, be sure to keep a handle on the time you spend visiting other websites.
